History, Heritage, Great Food and Excellent Service
We visited over a weekend with our children (and were very happy that they accommodated children), the staff was excellent from the time we arrived.
We stayed at a lakeside suite and will definitely recommend Siyabonga, Suite 15, which can match any of the top places I have been to in terms of comfort, view and size.
The dinner was really superb, although my children, been 7 and 9, was still too young to enjoy fine dining late into the evening. We ended up ordering room service for our second night, which was also really good and makes up for not been able to enjoy a second night at the restaurant.
If you are into horses, or have very little experience like us, I will recommend the Summerhill Farm tour to look at the magnificent stallions and stables and understand the history of the hotel and the farm.
We also made quick trips to Howick and to different places on the Midlands Meander which was interesting, but my children wished that they could spend all of their time at the hotel and their farm.
We really want to thank Duncan, Scott, Emma and the team in making our trip really memorable.
Room Tip: If you like big spaces and good view, go for the lakeside suite, especially Room 15, which we really liked.
