Hartford House

The Home of Good Conversation, Fine Wine and Classic Horses.

Award-winning hotel and restaurant situated at Summerhill Stud on the picturesque KwaZulu-Natal Midlands Meander, South Africa.

Suite 1 - Moor

The founders of Hartford House, the Moors, initiated a habit of giving to one another a piece of garden ornamentation or statuary on wedding anniversaries. This suite has accommodated the last Prime Minister of the Colony, Sir Frederick Moor, the first Prime Minister of the Union, General Botha, and the former British Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill. A marble bath from the old Durban Club and an ancient church window are novel appendages to a noble history.
