Hartford House

The Home of Good Conversation, Fine Wine and Classic Horses.

Award-winning hotel and restaurant situated at Summerhill Stud on the picturesque KwaZulu-Natal Midlands Meander, South Africa.

Designed and built by a senator, the last prime minister of Colonial Natal and the first prime minister of South Africa, the Hartford Chapel came from humble beginnings. It was the foundation of what is now NCD Dairies, the continent's largest dairy business, and the tethering rings for the cows that graced its hallowed confines, still line its historic walls. Today it serves as a multi-denominational facility serving not only local religious communities, but also the weddings and memorial services of Hartford's guests.
