Built in an era when the prime mode of transport was on horseback, the “stables” were home to the carriage horses of the estate’s first custodians.
Our Veranda Twin rooms consist of two twin beds which can be converted to king, shower and bath, underfloor heating, air-conditioner, private patio, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.

Room 5 - St Pauls
Commemorating the sentinel survivor of the Battle of Britain in 1940, St Pauls was the Goss family’s first laureate of Africa’s greatest horse race, the Durban July.
Room 6 - Sentinel
This suite, is named for the winner of 30 starts at the highest level, commemorating one of the most valiant warriors in South African racing history.
Room 7 - Preston Pan
Several times home to World Cup-winning captain, Francois Pienaar and his wife Nerine, this suite appropriately adopted the appellation of one of South Africa’s most prolific broodmares, Preston Pan.
Room 8 - Mowgli
Reminiscent of Jungle Book’s favourite character, the racehorse Mowgli’s lion-hearted exploits in the Hartford silks earned him a place among the top five thoroughbreds of the 20th century.
